24 Hours of Booty Hosts Pre-Registration Kickoff Party – Jan. 26

24 Hours of Booty is kicking off its 15th year with a celebration and pre-registration kickoff party. It will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 26 from 5:30-8:00PM at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille, located at 911 E. Morehead Street in Charlotte.

The event will include complimentary appetizers and drinks and feature a short program with a special guest speaker and Kristen Miranda of WBTV. Guests will also receive door prizes and the chance to sign up early for the 15th Annual 24 Hours of Booty presented by Levine Cancer Institute. 24 Hours of Booty will be offering a $10 registration discount to those who sign up for the ride at the kickoff party. There is no charge to attend the kick-off party, but it is required to RSVP through Eventbrite at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/charlotte-pre-registration-kick-off-party-tickets-20478819701.

Registration for the 2016 24 Hours of Booty ride in Charlotte officially launches on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 9:00AM (EST). The annual charity non-competitive cycling event for all ages and cycling abilities is scheduled to roll on the Charlotte’s famed “Booty Loop” in Charlotte’s the Myers Park neighborhood from 7:00PM Friday, July 29 to 7:00PM Saturday, July 30, 2016. To safely accommodate riders on the 3-mile closed course, event registration will be capped, so riders are encouraged to register on opening day of registration.

All participants for the Charlotte ride must register online at www.24hoursofbooty.org, pay a $75 registration fee and are required to raise a minimum of $400 to fight cancer prior to the event to fight cancer. Funds raised support local and national cancer beneficiaries including: Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Cancer Institute, the Keep Pounding Fund, LIVESTRONG Foundation, Wind River Cancer Retreats, Brain Tumor Fund of the Carolinas, Hendrick Marrow Program, and the GoJenGo Foundation.

Myers Park Traditional School and Queens University of Charlotte will again serve as home to “Bootyville” where riders are encouraged to camp, eat and recharge when not riding. In the event’s 15-year history, more than 15,000 riders have raised more than $15 million.
