Balfour Beatty Construction Hosts “Pink-Out” Day at Site of New Apex Friendship High School

Donned in pink “ZeroCancer” shirts, Balfour Beatty staff will take a break from construction of the new Apex Friendship High School to hear a special presentation from Kay Yow Cancer Fund® Executive Director Sue Donohoe on the importance of funding women’s cancer research.

The presentation, which will also be translated in Spanish by an interpreter, is part of Balfour Beatty Construction’s second annual “Pink-Out” Day. The high school construction site is one of several across the Triangle that will hold all-day events to raise funds for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Following the luncheon, Balfour Beatty will announce the donation of approximately $9,000 to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund ‒ more than doubling its donation from 2013.
