Band Together Welcomes Nine New Board Members

Band Together NC, a Triangle-based organization that uses live music as a platform for social change, has announced the addition of three new members to its board of directors and six new members to its advisory board.

The newly inducted members are:

Board of Directors:

• Doug Miskew, Public Sector Group

• Kim Phillips, U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management

• Henry Ward, Loden Properties

New Advisory Board Members:

• Robin Anders, NAI Carolantic Realty

• Daniel Baum, Troutman Sanders

• Matthew Cooke, Davis Moore

• Chuck ReCorr, Merrill Lynch

• Joan Seifert Rose, Council for Economic Development

• Jonathan Taylor, Paragon Bank

“We’re fortunate to have a new group of extremely talented business and community leaders join our board,” said Matt Strickland, executive director of Band Together. “Their skills and passion for improving our community will help Band Together continue to grow and positively impact the Triangle and beyond.”

The new members of the board of directors will join an existing board of 12 business and community leaders. During their three-year term, board members’ responsibilities include voting on important issues, committee involvement, recruiting and fundraising.

New advisory board members will join 45 business and community leaders. During their three-year term, advisory board members’ responsibilities include annual and long-term fundraising and giving feedback and advice to the Band Together board of directors.
