Calling All Volunteers for 24-Hour Charity Cycling Event – July 26-27

Volunteer registration is now open for the 12th Annual 24 Hours of Booty presented by Levine Cancer Institute. This year’s charity cycling event is scheduled to roll on the Myers Park “Booty Loop” 7PM Friday, July 25 to 7PM Saturday, July 27 when 1,200 participants will be riding and raising funds to help fight cancer.

Approximately 300 volunteers are needed to support this year’s Charlotte ride in the following areas: packet pick-up; pre-event course preparation and maintenance; course marking/signage; food and beverage; campground management; hospitality; and parking and traffic control. Volunteer shifts are assigned in three- and four-hour increments and opportunities are available for individuals and groups. All volunteers must register at www.24hoursofbooty.org/VolunteerCLT. In 24 Hours of Booty’s 11-year history, more than 11,000 riders have raised more than $9 million. In addition to the ride in Charlotte, 24 Hours of Booty will also host the Second Annual 24 Hours of Booty of Indianapolis at Butler University on Friday, June 28 – Saturday, June 29, 2013; the Fifth Annual 24 Hours of Booty of Columbia, Md. at the Gateway Business Park “Booty Loop” on Saturday, Aug. 24 – Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013 and the Fourth Annual 24 Hours of Booty of Atlanta at the Sandy Springs “Booty Loop” on Saturday, Oct. 5 – Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013.
