Cary Productivity Professional Janice Russell was selected from more than 5,000 submissions to be featured in The 2015 Woman’s Advantage® Shared Wisdom Calendar, and her advice will be featured on an a July calendar page.

The Woman’s Advantage Calendar provides soundbytes of advice on key business issues including: organization, promotion, sales, and human resources. Russell, president of Minding Your Matters, an organizing firm in Cary, offered this piece of wisdom, "Done is better than perfect."

Russell often advises clients to avoid perfection in organizing — and in other projects.

"The idea that it has to be perfect often prompts people to procrastinate. We often feel as though it's best to wait until we have more time so that we do a better job," Russell said. "But as we continue to push back that large project, deadlines loom. Sometimes it's best to just get started."

Her advice will be featured on the July 16 page of the calendar.
