Coastal Federal Credit Union and Executive Office Suites at Lafayette Village will serve as presenting sponsors of the BBB “Secure Your ID” Day event on Saturday, October 18, 2014. The shredding and electronics recycling event will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at two locations in Raleigh: Coastal’s headquarters at 1000 St. Albans Drive and Executive Office Suites at Lafayette Village at 8480 Honeycutt Road.

This is the 13th consecutive “Secure Your ID” Day event the credit union has sponsored and the ninth time it will host the event at its headquarters. Executive Office Suites at Lafayette Village hosted the event for the first time in October 2013 adding to the success of the event. Both sponsors are dedicated to creating opportunities for the community to safely dispose of personal documents and electronics containing sensitive information.

PROSHRED® Security and A Shred Ahead® will provide free, on-site document shredding. Participants are encouraged to bring up to three boxes or bags of documents that have been removed from binders. GEEP will also be on hand to provide electronics recycling including computers, tablets, and cell phones, as well as electrical devices like TVs, microwaves and vacuums.
