Col. John McCain Named as New Chief Operating Officer of Community Blood Center of the Carolinas

The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC) recently announced that it has hired Col. John McCain as its Chief Operations Officer.

McCain joins the CBCC team from Alabama where he served as Commander of the Ira C. Eaker Center for Professional Development at Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base. He brings more than 30 years extensive operational, strategic and international experience leading complex programs and teams of professionals to his new role at CBCC.

Before working at the Eaker Center, McCain served as Commander of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at the Maxwell AFB where he led 900 personnel in 144 geographically separated units across 47 states and Puerto Rico. He also served as Director of Staff at Air University and spent three years as Deputy Undersecretary of the Air Force International Affairs in the Pentagon.

McCain has a Master of Strategic Studies from Air University, a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Bachelor of Science in Administration Management from Clemson University.
