Commercial real estate investment company, The Dilweg Companies, announced today the opening of the firm’s Atlanta office and the hiring of Jerry Banks as Senior Vice President of Asset Enhancement, Atlanta Region.

In this newly created position, Banks will oversee commercial property management, leasing and asset enhancement for the firm’s Atlanta portfolio and part of the firm’s Charlotte portfolio. He brings more than 30 years of experience in financial and operational management, strategic planning and analysis and public accounting to the position.

Prior to joining the Dilweg Companies, Banks served as Vice President of Asset Management for Columbia Property Trust in Atlanta, where he was responsible for directing the financial performance of assets in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Banks has executed nearly 150 leases, consisting of 3.2 million square feet, with 17 different leasing teams in 11 markets. He holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Ohio State Board of Public Accountancy, and he received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Wright State University.

Dilweg currently owns 430,000 square feet of office space in the Atlanta metro and 2.3 million square feet of office space in the Southeast. The firm recently closed on a historic 17-story office building in downtown Charlotte.
