More than 500 walkers of all physical abilities took part in the 12th Annual Easter Seals UCP (United Cerebral Palsy) Walk With Me event on Saturday and raised more than $100,000 for critical programs and services for children and adults with disabilities and special needs. The 5K walk took place at Freedom Park in Charlotte and showcased many inspiring individuals and families who have benefited from Easter Seals UCP programs and services. The non-profit helps individuals living with disabilities live more independent lives.

This year’s walk also celebrates a cumulative $1 million dollars raised over the 12 year history of Charlotte Walk With Me

“We are so proud and inspired by many of the Walk With me participants and supporters,” said Amanda Hogan, development manager for Easter Seals UCP’s Charlotte market. “This fundraiser allows Easter Seals UCP to continue and even increase their programs and services in our community - currently helping almost 3,000 adults and children in the Charlotte metro area.”
