Bookmark and Share Washington, NC - June 10, 2013 -

The 7th annual Easter Seals UCP Ride Without Limits two-day cycling fundraiser has a new coastal route this year and will start and conclude each day in Washington, North Carolina’s downtown waterfront. This year’s event takes place on October 5 – 6 with routes each day ranging from 31 miles to 112 miles based on the cyclists abilities and interests. New to the event is a 1 mile riverfront kids loop for children 12 years and under.

Registration for the two-day cycling event is $40 until July 31. The registration fee goes up to $50 on August 1. Riders are asked to raise a minimum of $250 in order to ride and all funds raised benefit Easter Seals UCP programs and services that provide support, care and hope to individuals and families managing disabilities and mental health challenges. Registrants who raise $1000 or more receive a Ride Without Limits cycling jersey. Registration for RWL-NC Coastal can be done online at RideWithoutLimits.org or by calling call (877) RIDE-RWL (743-3795).

“Ride Without Limits is a very special event that brings riders of all physical abilities together - from experienced cyclists to individuals who are overcoming tremendous obstacles just to ride a mile,” said Patrick Curran, development manager for Easter Seals UCP. “This is truly a showcase of our mission of creating a life without limits.”

“We are always looking for ways to keep this event fresh, especially for our annual riders,” continued Patrick. “The opportunity to move Ride Without Limits to Washington, NC allows our event to accommodate more riders, offer better route options with beautiful coastal scenery, and take advantage of local attractions for non-riders who come to support and volunteer.”

Washington, NC is the heart of the Inner Banks. Beaufort County's coastal terrain surrounds Washington with hundreds of miles of relatively flat, rural roads for touring North Carolina's Inner Banks communities. In addition to all Ride Without Limits activities, participants can also explore Washington’s waterfront downtown, discovering an eclectic collection of restaurants, galleries, shops, museums, and fun things to do for the whole family.
