Bookmark and Share Greenville, NC - July 11, 2011 -

Walk With Me is a signature Easter Seals UCP (United Cerebral Palsy) annual fundraiser that raises funds for children and adults with disabilities and mental health challenges while showcasing its mission as a lifelong partner for individuals and their families. This family-friendly event will be held in Greenville for the first time on Saturday, October 8 at Town Common Park-Toyota Greenville Amphitheater. Activities and registration start at 9 a.m. and the one-mile walk begins at 10 a.m.

Individuals of all abilities will participate in Walk With Me, including honorary ambassadors who have benefitted from local Easter Seals UCP programs and services and offer inspiration to others. Sponsors for the event include lead sponsors Century 21-The Realty Group and Jersey Mike’s. The Main Event Band will perform before and after the walk.

“We’ve had such tremendous support from the community for the programs and services we offer in the Greenville area that we decided a Walk-With Me would be a natural fit for this community,” said London Schmidt, development manager for Easter Seals UCP. “We are so excited to be showcasing this special fundraiser, which will allow people to see the value of their donations and the benefits it brings to individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges.”
