RALEIGH, NC – November 22, 2011 – The Greater Raleigh-Durham Chapter 105 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) announced their officers for 2012 at their Annual Officer Installation held on November 9th at The Angus Barn. The 11-member board is comprised of the following real estate professionals:

President – Gary Triplett, CPM®

President-Elect – Crystal Hall, CPM®

Treasurer – Chris Stigall, CPM®

Secretary – Bonnie Moser, CPM®

Counselor – Brenda Brantley, ARM®/CPM® Candidate

Counselor – Glenn French, CPM® Emeritus

Counselor – Gina Ide, CPM®

Counselor – Tracey Johnson, CPM®

Counselor – Tammie Rhodes, CPM® Candidate

Counselor – Jeff Weatherspoon, CPM®

Counselor/Immediate Past President – Jason Stowe, CPM®

Under the leadership of Past President Jason Stowe, IREM Chapter 105 held a successful “Who Is IREM” January meeting with National President Ron Goss, CPM® and presented a profitable HRS402 educational offering. The Chapter attended the Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. where officers met with Senators and Congressmen to discuss legislative issues and sent five attendees to the San Diego Leadership Conference. Continuing its community involvement, IREM Chapter 105’s annual President’s Golf Challenge raised $500 for Urban Ministries of Wake County, a local non-profit service organization that alleviates the effects of poverty by providing food, shelter, and healthcare to the residents of Wake County. Lastly, the Chapter, for the fourth consecutive year, achieved Five Star Status.

Stowe, who has the distinction of being IREM Chapter 105’s first repeat Chapter President, says that he is grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the real estate organization and credits the efforts of a dedicated and hard working executive council with the chapter’s many accomplishments throughout the year.

“I can’t thank my executive committee and our association executive, Candi McDowell, enough for making this year such a success,” says Stowe. “Despite the continued economic uncertainty, we were able to increase chapter membership and end the year with positive cash flow. Being able to accomplish both of these things speak volumes about our chapter and the value that the real estate community places on our organization as a networking opportunity and informational resource.”

Newly-elected President, Gary Triplett, currently serves as Regional Property Manager with Drucker and Falk, where he has been employed since 1996. Triplett has been in the real estate industry since 1994 and received his CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation in 2007. Triplett has remained active in IREM, having served on the Executive Board in a number of positions: Counselor in 2008, Secretary in 2009, Treasurer in 2010, President-Elect in 2011, and now President in 2012. He says his goal for the upcoming year is to grow membership by expanding the Chapter’s outreach efforts to the local universities and by reminding current membership of the value of an IREM education.

“The economic turmoil over the last few years has negatively impacted our organization as many companies, including those that have CPMs in decision-making positions, have stopped funding educational opportunities for their associates,” explains Triplett. “During my term, I hope to see that trend reversed. I am steadfast in my belief that the gold-standard IREM education sets us apart and makes us more attractive to clients making decisions on who is best qualified to manage their property. I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to serve the Greater Raleigh-Durham Chapter 105 as President. I will strive to fulfill my duties to the best of my ability, enhance the membership experience, involve others in leadership roles, maintain our Five-Star Chapter status and represent the Chapter in a properly befitting manner. I am anxious to get started.”
