Griffin Home Health Care, Inc. (http://griffinhomehealthcare.com) announced today that it is celebrating 30 years in business.

A full-service health care equipment and supply company, Griffin Home Health Care was founded in 1983 and was later incorporated in 1986 by William H. (Bill) Griffin. It started in an independent pharmacy on Graham Street and then in 1989 moved into its current headquarters on 4231 on Monroe Road during Hurricane Hugo. In 1997, Griffin Home Health Care expanded its 2,400-square-foot facility to approximately 9,000 square feet of warehouse, showroom and office to better serve its patients and customers. In 2009, it opened a Gastonia location and now serves a 16-county region.

Today, Griffin Home Health Care is a family-run business with Bill Griffin as president and CEO, his son Richie Griffin as Vice President and his brother, Jim Griffin as Secretary and manager of the Gastonia store.

I still feel this, thirteen years later and I am positive I will feel it for another 13, God willing.”

Griffin Home Health Care and its team of 23 staff, including respiratory specialists, provide a wide range of home medical equipment and related supplies for individual Medicare, Medicaid, and Private patients, physicians, clinics, hospice organizations, assisted living centers, nursing facilities and commercial accounts. To further meet the needs of the community, it also offers respiratory, post mastectomy, diabetics, sleep therapy and sports medicine supplies.

Jim Griffin who joined the family business in 1996 came from the auto industry and Jim says, “It’s such a pleasure working in an environment of serving our fellow man where our services are appreciated.”
