HF Financial (www.HFFCarolinas.com), a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), in coordination with its Hands & Feet Community Service Program is hosting a shoe drive to support a local Boy Scout who is working on an Eagle Scout Service Project.

Shane Stout, a student at Sun Valley High School, is coordinating the shoe drive to benefit Gethsemane Garden Christian Center (GGCC), a boarding school for HIV/AIDS orphans in the Lake Victoria area of Western Kenya.

Stout’s goal is to collect 625 pairs of shoes to send with mission teams going back to GGCC in March to ensure that every student at the school will get a pair of shoes. Donated shoes may be new or gently used. Crocs or similar-styled shoes, flip flops, tennis shoes and cleats are needed for children in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. For those interested in donating shoes can drop them off now through Thursday, Feb. 19 at HF Financial M-F between 9AM-4PM at 6000 Fairview Road, Suite 400 in Charlotte.
