Hospice of Davidson County has received approval of accreditation status with a recommendation for continued deemed status with the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid by Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the services of Hospice Care and Inpatient Services.

Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.

ACHC is a nonprofit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. ACHC is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has CMS Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice and DMEPOS.

Hospice of Davidson County, a recognized leader in the advancement of quality end-of-life care across the Piedmont Triad region, cares for more than 100 patients every day in a variety of locations including private homes, long-term care and skilled-nursing facilities and at the The Henry Etta & Bruce Hinkle Hospice House.

“At Hospice of Davidson County we strive to meet the physical, psychosocial, spiritual and emotional needs of our patients and families,” said Hospice of Davidson County CEO, Laura Owen. “Because ACHC has become synonymous with providing excellent customer service, integrity and value, achieving the accreditation is a way to ensure we continue to demonstrate our commitment to quality, excellence and achieving high standards.”
