HPG to Sponsor Life Sciences Forum on December 6th

Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (HPG), a Triangle-based CPA firm serving the financial management needs of local, multistate, and international businesses, as well as their owners, will be sponsoring the Life Sciences Forum 2016 on Tuesday, December 6th at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.

This quarter’s event, titled From Startup to a Billion Dollar Exit - “The Covis Story,” will feature a panel of experts discussing relevant insights regarding the merger and financing environment, industry trends and development, and how a company achieved worldwide sales growth through license agreements and efficient structuring, ultimately leading to a billion dollar exit.

Panelists will include Jack Davis, former CEO of Covis Pharmaceutical, Sàrl; Sean King, President and Managing Director of Align Global Consulting; and Banks Bourne, CEO and Senior Managing Director of Bourne Partners. The session will be moderated by Tim C. Gupton, retired HPG Partner, and Financial Advisor of HPG Wealthcare Advisors, LLC.

Tim Gupton has over 40 years of public accounting experiences. He joined HPG in 1992 and has served as the start-up CFO for eight biopharmaceutical companies in the Triangle. Tim was a founder and general partner of Research Triangle Ventures. He was also a founder of HPG Family Office, LLC.
