As a sign of its continued growth, Jaffe, the leading legal marketing and PR agency, has expanded its East Coast and West Coast footprints with the hiring of two expert legal media relations professionals. Debbie Douglas joins the agency as a Senior Vice President of Public Relations and is in the Los Angeles area. Bethany S. Early joins the agency as an Account Executive of Public Relations, and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Debbie and Bethany both have extensive backgrounds in working with law firm marketing departments,” said Vivian Hood, Jaffe’s President of Public Relations. “Their in-depth legal industry knowledge, combined with their strategic media relations skills, adds tremendous capabilities to serving our regional and national clients.”

The new hires represent a growth spurt for the boutique agency, which operates in a virtual environment, with senior-level consultants working remotely across the country and in Canada. Jaffe’s new Los Angeles-based presence represents a deliberate move to increase services to West Coast clients and prospects, and the addition of a Charlotte-based legal PR consultant further expands Jaffe’s strong East Coast reach.

Throughout her career, Debbie Douglas has kept law firms in the national, trade and regional media by promoting the firm, its practices and rainmakers to drive new business, above and beyond the brief mention of a new hire or a case win. Before joining Jaffe, she owned and operated a successful PR consulting business, Douglas Strategic Communications, for 10 years. She also served as the managing director of media for global agency Hill & Knowlton, working as the account leader for Latham & Watkins, O’Melveny & Myers, and several other law firms. Douglas has secured positive coverage on media outlets ranging from the New York Times, “The Today Show,” CNBC, Asia Wall Street Journal, Power Lunch, CNN, Fox News, Fox Business News, Financial Times, CEO, Investor’s Business Daily and Forbes, to the Daily Journal, San Diego Daily Transcript and Recorder. She holds a BA in English from Michigan State University.

Bethany S. Early joined Jaffe after serving in-house for four years at one of the largest corporate law firms in the Southeast, where she managed media relations, internal communications, and related award-winning marketing and business development initiatives. She has generated countless media engagements for clients in helping them build and reinforce their brands with target audiences. Early holds a BS, summa cum laude, in public relations from Kent State University.
