Laetitia Cheltenham Appointed to Board of Directors of the NC Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure

Nexsen Pruet attorney Laetitia Cheltenham has been appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure. She will serve a three-year term.

In addition, Cheltenham has been selected as co-chair of the Health Law Section Diversity Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association.

Cheltenham is a licensed recreational therapist (LRT) and has been nationally certified since 1999.

In 2006, she received her NC state licensure. Prior to law school, Cheltenham worked as a therapist, consultant, and educator in both private and governmental health care settings.

Laetitia Cheltenham represents hospitals, physician practices, and other health care providers across North Carolina. Her practice is focused on health care compliance; fraud and abuse; Stark/Anti-Kickback analysis; HIPAA/HITECH; Medicare overpayments and other reimbursement matters; health care mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations; health care contract drafting and negotiation; business entity formation; and Certificate of Need planning and litigation.
