Bookmark and Share Raleigh, NC - March 27, 2015 -

SAFE Haven for Cats is launching a no-cost educational series open to the public. The quarterly series provides an opportunity to local animal advocates and pet owners to learn about a variety of pressing topics in the cat community.

“As part of our mission to ensure the well-being of every cat through community outreach, it is a privilege to be able to launch this series,” says Pam Miller, executive director at SAFE Haven for Cats. “The goal is to help the local cat community better care for their cats through proper education.”

The seminars are of no cost to attendees, while donations to the non-profit are accepted. Each quarterly session will focus on a specialized topic taught by an expert.

All seminars occur on Thursdays from 6:30-8 pm. The schedule is as follows:

• March 26, Planned Giving and Pet Trusts

• June 18, How to Help Community Cats Through Trap-Neuter-Return

• September 17, Companion Animal Loss and the Process of Grief

• November 5, Understanding Feline Behavior for a Happier Home

Visit SAFE Haven for Cats to learn about other upcoming events, and how the North Raleigh shelter partners with the community to fulfill multiple needs.
