Mad Hatter needs support for Main Street Grant

Local Business, Mad Hatter, needs support to be moved on to the next step for a $100,000 Grant from Mission Main Street Grants®

Mad Hatter, a local retail shop, has applied for a $100,000 grant from Chase’s, Mission Main Street Grants ®. Mad Hatter must submit a questionnaire outlining a business plan that will result in growth of the business and receive at least 250 votes to be eligible for a grant. Customers, fans and community members can show support for Mad Hatter by voting at http://www.missionmainstreetgrants.com/b/21113 using Facebook Connect.

The voting deadline is June 19, 2015 and grant recipients will be selected by expert panelists. Bobbie Asad, owner of Mad Hatter, says “Mad Hatter is striving to grow and continue being involved in our local community. Receiving this grant would be an unbelievable opportunity to ensure Mad Hatter remains in Fuquay-Varina” .

The twenty grant recipients will be announced in September 2015.

Mad Hatter, is a small retail shop, located in downtown Fuquay-Varina, sells ladies hats and loose leaf teas. The owner was recently awarded the “Best Downtown Marketing Effort Award” for 2014 by Fuquay-Varina Revitalization Association at their annual Dinner on Depot event. Mad Hatter is also one of the sponsors for the downtown Bengal Tigers, and chose the Fuquay-Varina Woman's Club to receive money raised from the auction of the Bengal Tiger in September.
