Marketfair Shopping Center Announces Five New Tenants Opening in the Skibo Road Plaza

Fayetteville, North Carolina – May 15, 2015 – The Marketfair shopping center redevelopment construction at 1916 Skibo Rd. is complete, and five new tenants are officially confirmed to open in the plaza. Planet Fitness, Lumber Liquidators, Mikoto Japanese Express, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches and Ruby Nails are all joining Fayetteville’s fun new retail, dining and theatre destination, with store opening dates expected throughout spring and summer 2015.

The new Marketfair tenants include:

1. Planet Fitness is the fastest-growing full size health club franchise in the United States, providing fitness enthusiasts with a combination of low prices and a friendly, hassle-free environment.

2. Now open for business, Lumber Liquidators is the nation's largest specialty retailer of hardwood flooring.

3. Mikoto Japanese Express, a quick-service restaurant offering traditional Japanese cuisine, is expected to open this summer.

4. Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, which is projected to open in early summer, is a national restaurant chain best known for its customizable sandwiches.

5. Open now, Ruby Nails is a full-service nail salon offering manicure and pedicure services, waxing services, eyelash extensions and more.

An entity owned by certain funds managed by real estate investment firm Westport Capital Partners LLC purchased the formerly distressed property in late 2012, which at the time consisted of a freestanding building housing two anchor stores, Gander Mountain and H.H. Gregg, and an outdated, enclosed mall space. Westport engaged WSB Retail Partners LLC, formerly Sunbelt Ventures, to oversee the redevelopment of the project. Over the last year the enclosed mall has been transformed into a modern, open-air shopping center concentrated around a 15-screen Carmike Cinemas movie theater.
