Moonlight Creative Group (http://moonlightcreative.com/) – a leading Charlotte marketing communications firm – announced today that its team of staff and volunteers donated more than 480 hours of pro-bono creative services to the eight winners of its “15 Years of Success = 15 Hours of Service” (MCG 15) non-profit design challenge.

“We’d like to thank everyone involved for making our ‘MCG 15’ project a huge success,” said Dawn Newsome, co-founder and partner of Moonlight Creative Group. “Getting to meet and work with all these amazing non-profit organizations was so inspirational and rewarding. I’m so proud of my entire team and our volunteers who worked collectively with each non-profit to execute truly amazing projects to meet each organization’s ‘Big Idea’ for the coming year.”

Nine judges – who included Charlotte-area professionals from all different fields – selected the following eight non-profit winners that received free creative services as part of Moonlight Creative Group’s 15-hour design marathon on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

• Alliance Credit Counseling (http://www.knowdebt.org/)

• Cooperative Christian Ministry (http://www.cooperativeministry.com/)

• Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County (http://www.habitatlcnc.org/)

• Lupus Foundation of America, Piedmont Chapter (http://www.lupuslinks.org)

• Phillips Academy (http://www.philipsacademync.org/)

• RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network) (http://www.carolinarain.org/)

• The Relatives, Inc. (http://www.therelatives.org)

• Women’s Impact Fund (http://www.womensimpactfund.org/)

In addition to providing free creative services – totaling more than $48,000 in time value – to the eight area non-profit groups, Moonlight Creative Group held a 15th Anniversary Celebration and reveal party for the eight-winning projects and also collected school supplies to donate to Classroom Central.

“We literally brought the community together for this project from the judges, non-profits, and volunteers to local restaurants – including East Boulevard Bar & Grill, Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, Caribou Coffee on Park Road, and Polka Dot Bake Shop – that generously donated food and beverages for our design marathon,” said Newsome. “Our goal was to give back to our community and it was wonderful doing so in more ways than one and with so many great people as part of this endeavor.”
