North Carolina Executive Roundtable Hosts Finbar Gallagher at March Meeting

Wendy Coulter, President of the North Carolina Executive Roundtable (NCER), announced that Finbar Gallagher will speak on “Big Data: When Eyewitnesses Are Not Enough”. The event will take place Friday, March 13th, at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary at 11:45am. The meeting is open to members for $25 and guests for $35.

Big Data: When Eyewitnesses Are Not Enough: Tic sheets, spreadsheets and manual counts are commonly used to gather and report massive amounts of production data. Finbar Gallagher, a true "Data Wrangler", will be sharing his insights in a participative session about why companies that invest in automated data collection systems to share key information -- Big Data! -- will hold the competitive advantage across every industry in the 'Second Machine Age' dawning right now.

Finbar’s innovative technology leadership has helped companies such as Hewlett Packard, Bausch & Lomb, Oral B, Yves Rocher, Peach State Market and Glover Printing gain a competitive edge and increase ROI through business process automation and integration. Finbar led several systems implementation teams during his 12-year tenure with Hewlett Packard, most notably the engineering team that successfully introduced the first Hewlett Packard Inkjet cartridge manufacturing line to Ireland.

Through the years Finbar became increasingly passionate about developing flexible solutions that would enable technology to provide meaningful information through the evolving business cycle. As a result, he founded Fraysen Systems in 2002 with a mission to empower organizations to satisfy their own information needs – without being constrained by “off-the-shelf” enterprise scale analytical software or relying heavily on expensive, difficult to control custom development projects.

Finbar earned his Masters degree in Systems Engineering from Boston University. He enjoys spending time with his family in County Clare, Ireland, playing Irish pub tunes on his guitar and coaching local children in the ancient Irish sport of hurling.

“Finbar Gallagher is a “Big Data” pioneer with over 25 years’ experience in manufacturing, improvement, analysis and large scale information systems’ development," said Wendy Coulter. “We are all looking forward to learning how we can be successful from investing in data wrangling.”
