OFM, a leading office and school furniture manufacturer, distributor and wholesaler, recently released a new office chair series designed and built around ways modern executives actually work in the digital age. The ORO Series Executive Chairs, made up of the ORO 100, 200, and 300 models, feature multiple design elements to accommodate how senior managers truly operate on a day-to-day basis such as working long hours and regularly using their smartphones and tablet computers.

“A lot of office furniture today is designed around the way people used to work and traditional desks and chairs are still being built like it’s 1987,” said Blake Zalcberg, chief executive officer of OFM. “For the ORO Series, we tried to take a fresh look at what business leaders are actually doing during the work day. That meant better support for their backs, more flexibility whether they are sitting in a meeting or on a call, and an easier way to read a tablet computer comfortably.”

The entire ORO Series collection comes with padded arms and a 14-by-9.5-inch tuck-away tablet with a slip-resistant coating that can be used to read tablet computers or smartphones. All of the chairs are also Greenguard certified with low chemical emissions making it the perfect seating if indoor air quality is a concern.

“With the new ORO Series the table no longer has to be the centerpiece of a conference room,” added Zalcberg. “Now you can have an individual workspace connected to your chair making the conference room more multi-purpose.”

OFM’s revolutionary ORO 100 Series chair has a high-back with an adjustable-height headrest and body bolsters for extra lumbar support, as well as a 350-pound weight capacity to accommodate a wider range of body types. It is made with soft bonded leather that is carefully stitched and tufted for greater comfort when sitting for longer periods.

Its ORO 200 Series offers additional space and a weight capacity up to 400 pounds should executives need the additional allowance. And the ORO 300 Series offers a stylish wood grain film on the arm and base. Like the ORO 100 Series, both the 200 and 300 models offer an amazing seating experience that provides full body support.

“Like it or not, today’s executives spend a lot more time in their chairs, whether they are answering emails, videoconferencing, or just browsing the latest business news about their industry on a tablet computer or Smartphone,” said Zalcberg. “It’s time that they had a chair that was designed around their daily lives to keep them healthy and focused. We believe any of our ORO Series is that kind of chair.”
