Sidney Minter has joined the Charlotte office of the labor and employment law firm, Fisher & Phillips LLP, as an associate.

Previously, Minter was an associate at Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, LLP in Raleigh, N.C. where he represented businesses in matters related to employment and business disputes. He brings experience handling matters arising under Title VII., the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, as well as other federal and state employment laws, to his new role.

In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2008, he graduated summa cum laude from High Point University with a Masters Degree in Public Administration and in 2011, he graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law with his Juris Doctor. In February 2016, Minter was selected into the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2016 Leadership Academy.

During law school, Minter served as the Editor-in-Chief of the North Carolina Central Law Review and served as a legal intern with Judge Cheri Beasley of the North Carolina Court of Appeals (now Justice Beasley of the North Carolina Supreme Court).
