“We wanted to do something fun for the community while helping 24 Hours of Booty beat cancer,” said Chad Andrews, president and founder of TotalCyclist, a USA Cycling Level 1 Coach, professional race commentator and the emcee of 24 Hours of Booty. “This is also a good opportunity to train in the colder winter months and get some exercise all while supporting a great cause.”

Participants will use their own bikes to ride on TotalCyclist’s state-of-the-art CompuTrainers and race against the clock on a three-lap virtual ‘Booty Loop’ – the site of the 11th Annual 24 Hours of Booty presented by Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte. The fastest male and female riders will receive one-of-a-kind 24 Minute jerseys from Giordana and bragging rights during this year’s 24 Hours of Booty. Results will be immediately available and posted on TotalCyclist’s website (http://www.totalcyclist.com/).

“We are so appreciative for all that TotalCyclist is doing to support our mission and help us kick off the year with this great event,” said Basil Lyberg, executive director of 24 Hours of Booty. “We encourage anyone of any cycling ability to join us on February 4 – after all, 24 Hours of Booty is about bringing ordinary riders together for an extraordinary experience to fight cancer.”

The 11th Annual 24 Hours of Booty presented by Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte will take place July 27-28, 2012 on the ‘Booty Loop’ in Myers Park. While registration has sold out for the event, there is still an opportunity to fundraise and ride in the reboot program on July 28 from 10:00AM-7:00PM. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are also available. For more information, visit http://www.24hoursofbooty.org.
