Event raised 40% more this year for nonprofit that provides critical programs and services for children and adults with disabilities and mental health challenges.

More than 200 people attended the Triangle area Juice and Jazz event on February 25, 2011 at the Museum of Natural Sciences. In its second year, the upscale wine tasting and live jazz fundraiser raised $15,000 for Easter Seals UCP, a nonprofit that provides critical programs and services for children and adults with disabilities and mental health challenges. This is a 40 percent increase from last year’s event.

Guests enjoyed a silent auction, live jazz music by MPS Trio and were the first to enjoy food catered by new restaurant, Fai Thai.

“It was such a special evening, made even more special by the generosity of all of our guests,” said Elizabeth Byrd, chair of Easter Seals UCP’s Triangle Juice and Jazz. “The money raised from this event will benefit so many people with disabilities in our community. We thank everyone for making this fundraiser so spectacular and successful!”
