Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club Bolsters Team with New Hires

The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, the premier AAA Four Diamond luxury inn and golf club located on the campus of Duke University in Durham, N.C., today announced it has appointed the following new hires across its world-class accounting, culinary, housekeeping, reservations and restaurant divisions:

Accounting

• Nancy Cline, Controller: Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club welcomes Cline as controller where she will oversee accounting and financial operations across its foodservice division. Cline brings valuable experience as the unit controller for Aramark at Duke Health Systems in Durham, as well as controller for Marriott in Research Triangle Park. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University.

Catering and Conference Services

• Candace Ranieri-Lewis, Catering and Conference Planner: Ranieri-Lewis joins Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club as a catering and conference planner. She earned her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from UNC Greensboro and most recently worked as a catering and convention service manager at the Hawthorn Inn and Conference Center for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Culinary

• Gregory Nelson II, Banquet Event Chef: Nelson brings years of culinary experience to Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, holding sous chef and garde manger positions across the country, including at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia, where he was executive sous chef. He holds an associate’s degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Orlando.

Housekeeping

• Johnathan Thompson, Housekeeping Manager: Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club welcomes Thompson into the role of housekeeping manager. Thompson brings six years of hospitality experience from numerous management positions, most recently as the front desk manager at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach. He received a bachelor’s in hospitality from East Carolina University.
