The Mayor of Cary and Craig Woolard from the Embers Join the Fun

Waverly Place, an award-winning dining and entertainment destination, announces the 2017 Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Open House on November 17 and 18, sponsored by Johnson Subaru and Stanley Martin Homes.

On Friday night, Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht and Santa Claus will take the stage at approximately 6:55pm to officially kick off the holiday season with the lighting of the Waverly Place Christmas Tree. From 6:00pm to 8:30pm, guests will enjoy performances by Craig Woolard & Family (lead singer of The Embers), the Elevate NC dance team, and more. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photographs and specialty food and beverages will be available in the park from Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, Tasu Asian Bistro, Fresca Café & Gelato, Whole Foods Market, and Gigi’s Cupcakes. Complimentary holiday snacks and drinks will also be served at participating retailers including vomFASS, Amazing Lash Studio, Whisk Carolina, and many more.

On Saturday, the Open House starts at 11:00am with fun for the whole family. The Magic Pipers concert begins at 1:00pm, while complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides with visits from Frosty and Rudolph will be available until 3pm.

• Fall Family Fitness with CorePower Yoga, TFTC Martial Arts Academy and Kale Me Crazy. The complimentary class starts at 10am and will feature warm-up exercises, stretching yoga, and self-defense demonstrations.

Waverly is also asking that guests contribute to the Johnson Subaru Fill-The-Trunk Toy Drive by bringing a new, unwrapped toy for Triangle-area families via Toys for Tots.
