William Peace University, a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, is proud to announce the hiring of Jennifer Y. Rothkopf as Admissions Counselor. Rothkopf will provide guidance to prospective students and their family members, as well as serve as a primary facilitator in the application process, specifically with future students who attend private schools. Additionally, she will evaluate prospective student applications and will recruit on behalf of the University at high school, national and regional college fairs.

Prior to her work at William Peace University, Rothkopf served as a counselor at public and private schools in North Carolina, including Pinecrest High School in Moore County and Grace Christian School in Sanford. She also worked as a counselor at Three Springs Residential Treatment Center, a facility that specializes in psychological evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral health issues. Rothkopf earned a B.A. in Psychology from Appalachian State University.

“I am both proud and honored to be a part of the faculty and staff here at William Peace University,” Rothkopf stated. “This prestigious University is an asset to Raleigh, and it provides students all over the world the opportunity to receive an advantageous college education.”

“We are thrilled to have Jennifer join our Admissions Staff,” said Debra M. Townsley, Ph.D., President of William Peace University. “She is well versed in providing guidance to young people at the high school level. We’re excited to have her on board.”

“Having an experienced and helpful admissions counselor can really help smooth the decision process when picking a college,” said Justin Cornett ’16. “I remember having a great counselor when I chose WPU. It’s something I know the school takes pride in.”

Rothkopf currently resides in Sanford.
