Raleigh, NC…Since Twitter has begun to filter into the mainstream lives of many citizens of North Carolina, The Coalition, a statewide group of 40 organizations and their members advocating in partnership to meet the needs of individuals managing disabilities, mental illness or the disease of addiction, has set up a Twitter account to be used as a tool to stay in touch with community partners and individuals affected by disabilities and mental health challenges. “The Coalition membership is passionate about issues affecting the population it serves, and as important issues occur in real time, those affected by those issues should not have to wait until after-the-fact to find out about things that will have a direct impact on their lives” said Coalition Chairman Tad Clodfelter . “We look forward to sharing top news and events as they affect citizens in North Carolina. We plan to tweet local resources, news stories and other relevant information as it relates to the mission of our organization. We are excited to develop this new tool and encourage those who are interested in important issues to follow us, retweet our resources and share real time information with colleagues. Look for us as @TheCoalitionNC.”
