Known for its authentic, freshly made recipes and fun and eclectic atmosphere, Austin-based Tex-Mex restaurant Chuy’s plans to open its 4th North Carolina location in south Charlotte’s hottest new development. To prepare for the local launch on Tuesday, November 1, the restaurant is now hiring 170 new team members.

“We’re thrilled to join the new Waverly community and are looking forward to bringing on the best team the Queen City has to offer.” said Chuy’s Waverly Owner/Operator Chuck Gilbert. “We can’t wait to open our doors in November.”

Keeping with tradition, the new Waverly location is designed using the company’s motto, “If you’ve seen one Chuy’s, you’ve seen one Chuy’s.” It will incorporate its own Charlotte flair, such as a “dog wall” featuring pictures of local canines, as well as Chuy’s décor staples: metal palm trees, an Elvis shrine and the Fully-Loaded Nacho Car, an unlimited build-your-own nacho station with chips, salsa, queso and ground sirloin available each day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

To support its fun and family-friendly atmosphere, Chuy’s will be hiring a variety of positions, including front-of-the-house hosts, servers, bussers and bartenders. In addition, the restaurant is hiring kitchen staff to help prepare its made-from-scratch dishes and signature sauces. Interested applicants can visit the hiring location Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., near address 4908 Houston Field Court in Charlotte. The actual hiring space will be set up at the corner of Ardery Kell Road and Houston Field Court.
