WAVERLY, Va. – The Virginia Veterinary Medical Association ( http://www.vvma.org/ ) has announced that Susan Seward, president of Seward Consulting, Inc., has received the 2013 Friend of the VVMA award for her outstanding contributions to the profession of veterinary medicine in Virginia. Seward was presented with this prestigious award at the 2013 Virginia Veterinary Conference on Friday, March 1 at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, located at 110 Shenandoah Ave in Roanoke, Va.

As president of Seward Consulting, Inc., Seward provides lobbying and consulting services to clients at both the state and local level. She represents the VVMA and the Virginia Association of Equine Practitioners (VAEP) before various agencies and regulatory bodies such as the Virginia Department of Agriculture, Virginia Department of Health Professions, Virginia Department of Labor and State Board of Veterinary Medicine. Seward is also responsible for developing and supervising the annual VVMA Political Action Committees (PAC) budget.
