The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Raleigh-Durham Chapter awarded the Robert F. Lauterborn Scholarship Fund 2012 Advertising Scholarship to Nathan Wellman of the Living Arts College. The award presentation took place Thursday, May 24, 2012, during The Traveling One Show Program, hosted by AAF-RDU and held at Baldwin& in downtown Raleigh.

AAF-RDU created this scholarship fund in 2004 in honor of Robert F. Lauterborn, a James L. Knight Professor of Advertising at UNC-Chapel Hill, for his outstanding contributions to advertising education. The scholarship is awarded to eligible students who have declared an advertising or communications-related major (such as advertising, marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, audio/video/film production or photography); who is officially enrolled in an accredited college or university in the greater Triangle area; or who is an advertising student whose permanent residence is in the greater Triangle area and is officially enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to present the scholarship to such a worthy recipient like Nathan, in honor of Professor Lauterborn, one of the best-known educators and leaders of our market,” said Mike McTaggart, AAF-RDU President.
