DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 12, 2015 – The Art of Cool Festival (AOCFEST), a locally run, three-day music festival, has announced a musical collaboration with Ropeadope and Jellowstone Records as the event’s first record label partnership. Ropeadope and Jellowstone Records represent hot new jazz bands with a mission of pushing forward innovative and cutting-edge music. Many of AOCFEST’s artists are represented by these companies. This collaboration allows AOCFEST to curate its first record label showcase on Saturday, April 25 at the Durham Armory Stage to showcase Ropeadope artists Sidewalk Chalk and Grammy Award winners Snarky Puppy, and Jellowstone artist Butcher Brown

AOCFEST brings the best in modern music to audiences through two outdoor stages, five indoor music venues and more than 30 world-class performances. Last year, the event hosted more than 3,500 music lovers and approximately 40 bands. AOCFEST’s economic impact on Durham included $600,000 in direct and indirect spending in April 2014.
