Brand and PR firm Articulon has been named agency of record for the fifth annual Holiday Express (www.raleighholidayexpress.com). The firm is handling public relations efforts to open the festivities at the renovated Pullen Park on Dec. 5.

“Events like the Holiday Express are wonderful in bringing the Triangle community together to celebrate the holiday spirit,” says Cindy Stranad, Articulon principal. “We are proud to lend our expertise behind this annual tradition.”

Holiday Express (www.raleighholidayexpress.com) returns to Pullen Park in Raleigh Dec. 5-9, 2012. From 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. nightly, children and adults alike will enjoy this Triangle tradition as Pullen Park is festively decorated with thousands of lights and transformed into a holiday wonderland. More than 9,000 guests are expected to attend with a portion of proceeds to support Rotary charities.

Presented by the Crabtree Rotary Club and Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department, Holiday Express is one of the major events held at Pullen Park since it reopened in November 2011 after undergoing a $6 million restoration project.

“We are thrilled to once again have the Holiday Express roll into Raleigh and for the help of Articulon,” says Jeff Hobart, Crabtree Rotary president. “The upgrades to Pullen Park make this a first-class event and will help add to the excitement felt by all those who attend this holiday experience.”

Guests will experience the Santa Express Train, an adventure filled with light displays and ending with a meeting with Santa himself. Nightly festivities also include carousel rides, arts and crafts, holiday music with dozens of local performers, a health expo with family friendly educational activities and local, seasonal food and concessions offered by Pullen Place Café.

Articulon remains committed to helping nonprofit organizations promote their initiatives. Through its Cause & Sport practice area, the firm has helped maximize both public awareness and fundraising success. In addition to its work on the Holiday Express, Articulon has partnered with Special Olympics North Carolina, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, MS Events, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Eastern North Carolina Chapter, the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation and the National Kidney Foundation of North Carolina.
