Laura Noble, CEO of The Noble Law Firm, announced that Attorney Don Davis will be a panelist on LGBT employment law issues at the "Campaign for Southern Equality's - LGBT* in the South Conference" on Friday, April 17th. The workshop is part of a two-day conference in Asheville, NC. The conference will be held at Diana Wortham Theatre on 2 S Pack Square in Asheville on Friday from 8:00 AM – 7:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Registration is $15 a day, $20 for the full conference and $70 for a NC Attorney Conference Ticket.

Presenting during the first breakout session from 10:30 – 11:30 AM on Friday, Don’s panel entitled "LGBT Rights in the Workplace: Are We Protected from Employment Discrimination?" will discuss how in the majority of states, including North Carolina, you can legally be fired from your job for legally marrying a person of the same sex. Discussions will range from employment discrimination litigation, EEOC policies and discrimination in the workplace.

The LGBT* in the South Conference focuses on bringing leaders together to enlighten each other on issues involving the LGBT community. In its second year, the conference uses workshops to start conversations on legal issues for LGBT Southerners. Laws affecting the LGBT community are discussed in further detail, and overall strive for greater equality for persons identifying as LGBT.

“We are proud to have Don representing The Noble Law firm once again as a social advocate,” said Noble. “His intelligence and passion on the topic of LGBT rights within the workplace make him an excellent choice for a panelist.”
