Bailey’s Fine Jewelry donated nearly $30,000 to charities in 2011 through the A Time to Give program, created by the Bailey family as a way to support and give back to the community, while providing watch battery replacements to patrons.

A Time to Give provides a free replacement for any watch battery and in exchange requests a donation be made to that month’s designated charity. Bailey’s selects a different non-profit organization each month to receive all the donations from A Time to Give.

A Time to Give is unique because it demonstrates Bailey’s dedication to serve the community’s needs, as well as its impeccable customer service. Bailey’s is a store steeped in family tradition that strives to bring a fun-loving approach to the jewelry business. A Time to Give allows Bailey’s to show patrons and the community its dedication to serving and giving back through a unique approach to philanthropy.

Since its inception in 2008, A Time to Give has donated more than $100,000 back to the communities where Bailey’s stores are located (Raleigh, Rocky Mount, Greenville and Fayetteville).

“Our family is so blessed to be able to give back to the communities where we work and live,” said Doug Morgan, a family member and director of development at Bailey’s Fine Jewelry. “It’s one of the most rewarding parts of my job.”

In 2011, A Time to Give donated nearly $30,000 to various North Carolina charities as diverse as: Duke Children’s Hospital, Relay for Life, St. Baldrick’s, SafeChild, Rex Healthcare, Operation Homefront, NC Heroes Fund, Sass-a-frass All Children’s Playground, Salvation Army Food Bank, Backpack Buddies, Food Bank of NC and Operation Christmas Child.
