Magazine (boomnc.com), a monthly publication dedicated to the active lifestyle of people 45 and older, announces today that the publication is hosting a travel adventure next year through Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. The 14-day adventure is set for Oct. 8-21, 2012.

Highlights of the trip include:

• A cruise around the islands of Venice while staying near the city for two nights

• A lakeside retreat of Bled, Slovenia

• Travel aboard a “plenta” boat to the island church of St. Mary’s in Bled, Slovenia

• A walk through the seaside promenade in the Hapsburg resort town of Opatija, Croatia’s “Riviera”

• A visit to the ancient Roman palace of Diocletian in the center of ancient Split, Croatia

• Experience 16 cascading lakes at Croatia’s Plitvice National Park

Pricing for the adventure is as follows:

• $2,399 per person (double occupancy)

• Airfare (from RDU): $1,350 per person (plane fare as of publication date)

• Taxes: $150, Cancellation/Travel Insurance $220 (insurance optional, but recommended)

Guests receive 18 meals (12 breakfasts and six dinners), all expertly guided tours, quality hotels, all transfers and baggage handling, hometown pickup and a professional tour manager with their paid reservation.
