Cary, N.C. – Cary Family Dental is partnering with Operation Gratitude to collect handwritten letters to deployed troops, veterans, new recruits and first responders this holiday season. The practice is also donating $500 to Hope For The Warriors, an organization that provides support programs for service members, veterans and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources.

Cary Family Dental has a longstanding reputation of generosity in the community. In the past six years alone, it has provided over $300,000 worth of free dental services. This particular cause hits close to home for several of the practice’s team members who have served or have family in the military.

“As a veteran of the U.S. Navy, I feel it is important to support our troops overseas who do not get to spend the holidays at home with loved ones,” Cary Family Dental Hygiene Coordinator Leah Dodson said.

“When I served in Iraq, I appreciated getting holiday treats, decorations and cards that made it feel a little more like home.”

A letter-writing station is set up in the practice reception area through the end of December. All letters will be mailed to Operation Gratitude for sorting and delivering to service members around the world.

Patients and community members are welcome to participate by stopping by its office located at 1149 Kildaire Farm Road.
