Cary, N.C. (January 19, 2016) – Triangle residents can soon get a second helping of their Tex-Mex favorites when Chuy’s opens a new location in Cary this March at Parkside Commons shopping center at 1035 Parkside Main St.

Straight from the birthplace of Tex-Mex, Austin, Texas, Chuy’s is known for its authentic Tex-Mex cuisine served up in a fun and eclectic atmosphere. The Cary location will be the fourth Chuy’s in North Carolina and the second for the Triangle; the first Triangle location opened in North Hills in Raleigh in November of 2013.

“In the short time since Chuy's hit the Triangle food scene we've received such great support,” said James Fisher, Local Owner/Operator of the upcoming Chuy’s location in Cary. “People have picked up on the fact that we make all our food from scratch everyday in our kitchen. They can taste the difference. It just made sense to open a second location. We're looking forward to the opening in Cary and making more fans.”

For more than 30 years, Chuy’s has been known for its commitment to providing made-from-scratch Tex-Mex using only the freshest ingredients. The menu includes dishes made from hand-rolled tortillas cooked fresh all day on a traditional comal in the dining room and homemade signature sauces ranging from the mild Tomatillo to their spicy Hatch Green Chile. It showcases authentic recipes found in South Texas, New Mexico and Mexican border towns.

The new Triangle restaurant is located in Parkside Commons in Cary, a shopping center owned by Kite Realty. The location will be in a newly-constructed, standalone building and will include a vibrant atmosphere along with several design elements unique to Chuy’s, including an Elvis Shrine, the La Chihuahua Bar featuring framed pictures of local dogs, a “school” of hand-carved wooden fish, metal palm trees and a hubcap-covered ceiling.

Chuy’s will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner: from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday. On weekdays the restaurant will also feature daily drink specials and a Fully-Loaded Nacho Car, a free build-your-own nacho station with chips, salsa, queso, ground sirloin and more, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In addition to opening a new restaurant, Chuy’s Cary has announced that it has selected the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle as its official charity partner. Chuy’s has been dedicated to local philanthropy for more than 30 years, with each new location selecting a local charity to support. Chuy’s Cary will support the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle BackPack Buddies program during several pre-opening events and throughout the year by providing food and monetary donations, fundraising opportunities and additional avenues of support for the organization.
