Fayetteville, North Carolina – Marketfair shopping center is adding fine Indian cuisine to its retail, dining and cinema destination, which is located at 1916 Skibo Rd. Tandoori Bites, an award-winning restaurant serving authentic Indian dishes with a unique twist, is expected to open in early 2017 at the centrally-located Fayetteville shopping plaza.

Tandoori Bites uses the freshest ingredients to stir fry exotic tastes and colors into its dishes. The expansive menu includes classics such as chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, curries and more. Additionally, specialties include tandoori shrimp, which features fresh jumbo shrimp marinated in a delicate yogurt, and seekh kababs, which includes minced‎ lamb seasoned with onions, herbs and spices, all baked in a tandoori oven.

The new restaurant at Marketfair will serve a lunch buffet and full-service dinner seven days a week, as well as a full bar including cocktails, beer and wine. Tandoori Bites has been a foodie favorite in Wilmington, North Carolina for the past nine years, and the Fayetteville store marks its second location.

"Fayetteville is the perfect city for our expansion and we couldn’t have selected a more ideal spot to open than Marketfair shopping center,” said TJ Sing, Tandoori Bites owner. “Our traditional Indian cuisine has won over diners on the coast for years, including visitors from the Fayetteville area, and we can’t wait to share our distinct dishes with the local community.”

The restaurant joins shopping center anchors Carmike Cinemas, Gander Mountain and H.H. Gregg, as well as Planet Fitness, Mikoto Japanese Express, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop, Ruby Nails, Lumber Liquidators, Pioneer Services, The Air Force Recruiting and recently opened educational sports franchise, Kids In Sports.

“Tandoori Bites brings a fresh new flavor to Marketfair shopping center and we’re excited to help introduce the restaurant to the community,” said Dusty Wiederhold, founding principal at WSB Retail Partners. “This full-service dining establishment is a wonderful complement to our existing stores, making Marketfair even more of the ultimate destination for a dinner and movie date night, or fun afternoon out with friends.”

Grant-Murray Real Estate, a Fayetteville-based full-service commercial real estate firm, represented the shopping center on the new tenant transaction. Remaining available spaces range from 1,900 to 6,500 square feet.
