Votes are in for the annual Cary Magazine Maggy Awards competition, and thousands of readers recognized Cary Family Dental’s Allan Acton, DDS, as one of the Best Dentists in Western Wake County.

This is the ninth time that Dr. Acton has been recognized in this category since the competition began in 2006. The practice received its nomination by Cary Magazine readers last September, and was ultimately selected by voters to be one of the 2018 winners.

“I have an amazing job that allows me to come to work each day invigorated and excited about who I am going to meet and who we can help that day,” Dr. Acton said. “It feels good to know that people in this community support us being here, too.”

Dr. Acton completed his advanced dental education residency at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia. He has received additional advanced dentistry training in implants and esthetics from the Triangle Dental Institute, Hornbrook Group, and the Kois Center, and is the recipient of a Fellowship Award from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Best known for their generosity and service to the community, Dr. Acton and his team have partnered with Dentistry From The Heart to provide over $300,000 of free dental services to over 900 individuals in need during the past six years.

With a reputation of serving the community and partnering with patients to determine the best individualized dental solutions, it comes as no surprise that Dr. Acton was once again recognized with this award.
