Eight Essex Richards attorneys have been named to the 2015 list of Super Lawyers by Super Lawyers Magazine.

Norris Adams, Rob Blair, Woody Connette, Heather Culp, John Daniel, and Renee Hughes, along with recently retired attorney Lou Lesesne, have been named 2015 North Carolina Super Lawyers. Lauren Lewis has been selected as a 2015 North Carolina Rising Star.

Super Lawyers Business Edition also recently recognized Essex Richards as the top medium-sized employment law firm in North Carolina.

Among the honorees:

* Norris Adams was recognized for his legal expertise in employee benefits. He was one of only three lawyers in Charlotte to be recognized in the field of employee benefits.

* Rob Blair and Lauren Lewis were honored in the area of family law.

* Heather Culp was cited for her work in consumer bankruptcy. Culp was one of just two Charlotte lawyers named to the Consumer Bankruptcy Super Lawyers list.

* Woody Connette was named to Super Lawyers' lists of Top 25 Charlotte attorneys and Top 100 North Carolina attorneys. He was recognized for his expertise in plaintiffs' personal injury cases.

* John Daniel was honored in the area of business litigation.

* Renee Hughes was named to Super Lawyers' list of Top 50 North Carolina women attorneys. Hughes practices employment and labor law.

* Recently retired attorney Lou Lesesne was recognized for his work in employment and labor law.

No more than five percent of the total lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers and no more than three percent are named to Rising Stars. The Charlotte Top 25, Top 50 Women, and Top 100 represent even more elite groups.
