Fountain and Earley Named Shareholders at Young Moore

Young Moore is pleased to announce that attorneys Susan T. Fountain and David W. Earley have been named Shareholders of the firm effective January 1, 2020.

Susan is a member of the firm’s health care practice team where she represents hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers in a variety of matters including medical malpractice defense and general liability. She also advises clients on avoiding and managing risk. Susan began her legal career as a law clerk to Chief Judge Arnold at the North Carolina Court of Appeals following graduation from law school in 1997. She had an extensive career in private practice defending healthcare providers before accepting an appointment with the North Carolina Department of Justice in January of 2013 where she defended North Carolina state agencies in medical malpractice claims and other catastrophic injury cases. She returned to private practice joining Young Moore in August of 2017. Susan is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina School of Law.

David focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, business litigation, insurance coverage and litigation, professional liability, and product liability. He joined Young Moore in 2016 after serving as a law clerk to Judge James A. Beaty, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. He also previously served as an attorney at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law where he worked on election law cases across the country, including cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. David is a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia and a graduate of Duke University and NYU School of Law.
