Charlotte, August 25, 2013—Grant Thornton LLP admitted Ron Messenger as an Audit partner in the firm’s Charlotte office effective Aug. 1. Across the firm, Grant Thornton admitted 30 new partners and principals.

Partners and principals admitted to the firm are thought leaders upon whom Grant Thornton relies to help clients achieve smart, quality growth in all aspects of their businesses. These professionals have consistently demonstrated their extraordinary ability to understand and meet the needs of dynamic companies and industries. They have also demonstrated long-term leadership in the accounting profession and the community.

Messenger joined Grant Thornton in 2004 and has nearly 10 years of experience providing financial statement audits and consulting services to companies in the construction, real estate, financial services, manufacturing and distribution industries. In addition to his client-serving role, Messenger is part of Grant Thornton’s Professional Standards Group, working with clients and engagement teams to resolve complex audit and accounting issues, and to develop and present the firm’s technical thought leadership.

Messenger is a certified public accountant in North Carolina, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Urban Land Institute and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University.
