HPG Partner Addresses Greensboro Hospitality Professionals

Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP, a Triangle-based CPA firm serving the financial management needs of local, multi-state and international businesses, announced today that firm partner Liz Broadway was a featured speaker at the Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals of Central Carolina’s chapter meeting. Broadway’s January 9 presentation focused on tax law changes affecting the hospitality industry.

Of particular interest to attendees were the discussions on the elimination of depreciation deduction for qualified real property in North Carolina and the new North Carolina sales tax on admissions to live events. Broadway also discussed the availability of a small business healthcare tax credit to assist companies in complying with the Affordable Care Act.

Broadway has 18 years of public accounting experience. She joined Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP in 2006 and became partner in 2013. She serves as the business and tax advisor to clients in the hospitality, retail, software technology, construction, real estate, and non-profit industries. Broadway is also the firm’s tax team leader and heads the hospitality industry services team.
