According to a report published in the Journal of Housing Research, homes listed by experienced real estate agents sell for $25,000 more on average than those listed by less experienced agents. Experienced agents are also more likely to sell a home and to sell it faster.

“In a dynamic marketplace like Raleigh, you can benefit from an experienced REALTOR®,” says Linda Craft, CEO of Linda Craft & Team, REALTORS® & Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE). “Real estate agents gain a lot from experience. For example, you come to understand your unique market and its conditions, and you learn which pricing andmarketing strategies work best.”

As a Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE), Linda Craft has paid special attention to the options available to Triangle-area homeowners who find themselves in this situation. “These opportunities are nothing new,” Craft said, “but once a homeowner gets to foreclosure, they often believe it is too late to take advantage of them. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

For homeowners facing foreclosure in the greater-Triangle area, working with an experienced agent makes an even greater difference. “Experience and training has proved especially important when helping distressed homeowners. There are many options available, like short sales and loan modifications, but it’s important to find the best solution for each homeowner’s situation,” said Craft.
