To raise awareness about healthy living, promote wellness, and educate the community on health-related issues, Medfirst Medical Center & Urgent Care (www.medfirstmedical.com) will host a health fair for the local community onsite at their Raleigh facility. Dr. Mark Samia, the medical director of the clinic has been a physician for over 30 years and will be on hand to personally oversee the event.

MedFirst Medical Center’s health fair will offer attendees free health screenings, advice on health concerns, flu shots and discounts on exams and medical services at the clinic. There will be a special table for information about immigration medical examinations, known as form I-693.

In partnership with Latino radio station La Lay, MedFirst Medical Center’s family-friendly health fair will include snacks, activities and live music. Hector Valencia, a La Ley DJ known to his fans as “El Miro”, will broadcast live and entertain the crowd throughout the afternoon.

Attendees will be able to meet members of the MedFirst Medical Center staff and take a tour of the clinic to learn more about its services which include sick visits, physicals, well visits and check-ups, xrays, blood work and treating injuries. Most services are offered on a walk-in basis. In addition to the clinic’s urgent care capabilities, MedFirst Medical Center has an occupational health division that provides area employers with comprehensive wellness, preventative health, and return to work programs.
