M/I Homes of Charlotte has begun development of Clarabella, a community with beautiful views from 120 home sites in southwest Charlotte. Pre-sales will begin in early autumn. Prices will be from the low $200s, with special pre-construction pricing available during the pre-sale period. Clarabella was named for a Beatles song and streets will include Strawberry Field Lane, Maggie May, and other Beatles favorites.

The community's location in booming southwest Charlotte is a big draw. Off Rock Island Road and Shopten Road West, Clarabella offers easy access to I-485, Highway 160 and Highway 49. Nearby attractions include the new Carolina Premium Outlets, Carowinds, the U.S. National Whitewater Center, and Lake Wylie. Local Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools include Berewick Elementary, Robert F. Kennedy Middle School and Olympic High Schools.

Clarabella will feature ranch and two-story homes from M/I Homes' Eco Collection. Options include flex space areas, guest suites with full bath on the main floor, and main floor living spaces with additional loft space upstairs. Look for exteriors of vinyl siding with stone and brick accents, depending on elevation chosen. The streetscape will be enhanced with trees and pedestrian-friendly sidewalks. Some cul-de-sac homes are available.

Model homes include The Franklin and The Marvin home plans. They showcase the main living space on the main floor, upstairs lofts, and bedroom with full bath for weekend guests. The model homes are scheduled to be completed in November.

All homes in Clarabella will be 100% ENERGY STAR® Certified and built to M/I Homes' Whole Home Building Standards.
